Erlgasse watches “The Other Side of Goodbye”

On Thursday, 27th November, we went to see the English play “The Other Side of Goodbye” at the Vienna English Theatre. Inspired by the Greek tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice, the play tells the story of Ella, a young girl who must learn to grieve for her father, with help from a spirit guide named Alix and friends found along the way, through her journey of the underworld of a loss that she cannot let go. In preparing for the play, the classes studied the script, and explored the main theme of loss and mourning, reflecting on the loss of their own loved ones, how they came through it, and who they turned to for support. This preparation helped ensure that the students both understood and enjoyed the play immensely. We thank the cast and Vienna English Theatre School Tours for a wonderful show.
